AdaptiveYYC Wins Breakthrough Innovation Award

AdaptiveYYC, a new mental well-being initiative developed by United Way of Calgary and Area and headversity, won the New Normal Ninja award at the 2021 CDN Channel Innovation Awards conference on Wednesday, April 28, 2021.

The Channel Innovation Awards honour companies that drive innovation and exemplify the best in channel technology solutions across Canada. The New Normal Ninja is one of six awards granted to organizations that have broken new ground and developed pioneering products during the COVID-19 pandemic to help partners and clients adapt to the new normal during the pandemic.

“Alongside our partners at headversity, we are honoured to receive the New Normal Ninja award for AdaptiveYYC,” said James Gamage, director of innovation and The Social Impact Lab at United Way of Calgary and Area. “COVID-19 has had a tremendous impact on people’s mental well-being, and we are proud to offer an initiative that can help build the wellness of people and organizations in our city and beyond.”

AdaptiveYYC is celebrated as a novel solution to pressing issues impacting organizations and companies. Developed in the spring of 2020, AdaptiveYYC helps workforces' buffer against stress, build emotional well-being, and lead more purposeful lives. The personalized, pocket-sized resilience training initiative supports teams to build resilience and mental well-being to respond to the adverse impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

AdaptiveYYC is free and available to Calgary and area non-profits, government-funded agencies, or small- to medium-sized businesses with fewer than 200 employees.
